Connections gears up for private travel event in London

Event will be hosted at five-star locations in the city

Press release: June 2022

Connections, the international private community for trusted decision-makers in luxury travel, will host its flagship event in London from 25-28 September 2022.

Connections Luxury in London will welcome up to 200 decision-makers from its luxury travel community to a two-day showcase, taking place at Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, Royal Lancaster London, The Doyle Collection and Sea Containers London.

Delegates will participate in an interactive agenda designed to connect high-end buyers from the UK with exceptional hotels, boutique properties, experience providers and destination management companies from around the world.

Host properties supporting the event include The Other House, The Hoxton, The Standard and Royal Lancaster London.

Luxury buyers and suppliers will meet during personalised one-to-one business appointments held in the pioneering Connections Way format – the company’s approach to facilitating long-lasting business relationships through memorable, shared experiences. Delegates will participate whilst making sushi, playing tennis, crafting candles or sipping cocktails high in the London skyline.

Greg Reeves, managing director of Connections Luxury, said: “Connections Luxury in London is an extremely important event for our members. We were overwhelmed by the positive response from our community, having sold out in January 2022 and again, with an increased capacity, in February 2022.

“It’s clear that the UK outbound market continues to be strong, presenting promising opportunities for the recovery of the luxury travel industry. We’re excited about bringing together this gathering of decision-makers to help form new international partnerships through shared experiences, as well as voice the developments and challenges of our industry today.”

Delegates will also benefit from insightful and focused “ConnecTALKS” sessions which will identify the latest trends and challenges facing the industry.

Sister-brand Aspire will lead a dedicated panel discussion on sustainability within the luxury travel industry, with editor Hollie-Rae Brader joined by Hamish Scott, development director of Positive Luxury; Naomi Heaton, chief executive officer of The Other House; and Stephan Degueurce-Roberge, managing director UK, Ireland & Scandinavia of Visit Monaco.

In addition, Altiant knowledge director Chris Wisson will present brand-new luxury travel insights, collected from qualified HNW individuals from key source markets.

Connections Luxury in London is supported by destination partners including Lanzarote Premium, Malta Tourism Authority, Slovenia Tourist Board, Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau, Visit Finland, Visit Monaco and Visit Portugal.
